Broach Cutters

Broach Cutters are tools for cutting specific shapes or removing specific areas from a workpiece, multiple times on the internal diameter of the material. It commonly has use in a lathe, broach, or screw machine. Broaching is the name of the machining process that this tool uses to remove material. There are two main types of broaching: linear and rotary. The most common process is linear, where the broach runs linearly against a surface of the workpiece to produce the cut. Whereas rotary broaching means it is rotating and pressing into the workpiece to cut an axisymmetric shape. Both processes allow the cut to be complete in one pass of the broach, making it highly efficient. At Swiftfix we sell a variety of these products in an array of sizes and shapes, in-store and online.
