The Hapatec screw made of hardened stainless steel is a panel fastener, especially for hardwood. The screw has a scraper groove at the screw tip, milling ribs over the thread and a decorative head. The Hapatec is also available in antique and black.

Martensitic stainless steel 1.4006 (C1)

• High strength
  • 50% higher breaking torque than the austenitic stainless steel A2 and A4
  • Hardened by heat treatment
• Can be used in service classes 1 to 3 according to DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5)
• Limited rust resistance
• Not acid resistant
  • Not suitable for woods with a lot of tannin such as coumarú, oak, merbau, robinia etc.
• Not suitable for use in aggressive, salty or chlorine-containing environments
• Magnetizable

• Milling ribs facilitate countersinking in all types of wood
• The special screw geometry reduces the risk of the wood splitting
  • However, pre-drilling is particularly recommended for hardwoods in terrace or facade construction!
• Corrosion-resistant up to and including usage class 3 - "freely weathered structures" according to DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5)
