The Ulti-Mate® Wood Screw is a high-performance screw that is ideal for tradesmen and DIY'ers alike. This multi-purpose product can be used for fixing hard wood, soft wood, man-made timber boards (e.g. MDF, plywood, chipboard & OSB) and sheet metal.

A high-quality Stick-Fit® driver bit is included in every single box of Ulti-Mate® Wood Screws. Once the screw is engaged to the driver bit, the patented PSD® recess gives a Stick-Fit® connection that enables the screws to remain attached to the bit whilst allowing one-handed driving. One-handed driving allows the free hand to position whatever is being fixed into exactly the required position.

Another major benefit of Ulti-Mate® Wood Screws is the class-leading strength. These screws are built strong! Simply put, more metal is used when manufacturing our screws versus the competition. A thick core diameter gives superior strength throughout the body of the screw and also under the head area.

Ulti-Mate® Wood Screws feature a sharp point with a prominent thread at the tip. This allows for a rapid start and immediate thread engagement, saving you precious time and effort. As well as spending less time driving the screws you will be able to drive more screws per battery-charge compared to competitors' products.

Other benefits include: a slotted shank that reduces wood splitting, a countersunk head complete with ribs for a flush finish every time. Note: 40mm and shorter length screws do not have the ribs to ensure that they are hinge compatible.

POZISQUARE®

The Phillips Screw Company is the proud inventor of both the Phillips (PH) and Pozidriv® (PZ) cruciform recesses that are used in a huge proportion of screws sold today all over the world.

The POZISQUARE® Drive (PSD®) fastener system is the latest iteration of the cruciform recess from the Phillips Screw Company. This represents a major step forward in screw user-friendliness. We call this connection between recess and driver bit "Stick-Fit®".

All Phillips products with a PSD® recess come with a high-quality driver bit included in the box. When the screw is engaged on to the bit it locks on using a mechanical fix. This fixing keeps the screw attached to the driver bit as if magnetised.

As the screw does not need to be held during installation the user has a free hand to exactly position the component being fixed. This game-changing approach means that once professional installers and DIY'ers have tried Stick-Fit® screws very few will return to traditional types of fixings.

The PSD® driver bit also includes Phillips ACR® ribs which enhance driving torque capability and reduce cam-out.

PSD® recesses are also backwards compatible with Phillips and Pozi driver bits. This means that if a user were to lose the PSD® driver bit, screws can still be inserted and removed using the equivalent sized PH or PZ driver bit (note: Stick-Fit® will not be achieved when using PH or PZ driver bits).
