Countersunk Tek Screws made from quality hardened steel, the drilling tip is of a special design for quick starting and fast drilling. Shank ribs and thread notches on the heavy section screws reduce drive torque and remove metal swarf more effectively.

The Wingtek Heavy Section Self-Drilling Screws have a Torx countersunk head with a wing between the cutting head and thread. The wing is designed to ream a clearance hole in the wood to prevent the thread engaging. The screw point drills into the steel, the wings break off as they hit the steel and the threads then engage in the steel, firmly fastening the wood to the steel in one simple reliable application.
They are commonly used for timber to steel rails and purlins.
