Simpson SAE joist hangers are heavy duty with2mm thick pre galvanised steel, suitable for indoor use. They are ideal for applications requiring additional strength. With bolt holes and screw holes they are suitable for solid timber, I joists. steel and masonry. These are generally nailed in with square twist nails, however they do have bolt holes suitable for 12mm fasteners into the face. The depth of the hanger should be at least 60% of the carried member depth to prevent rotation. Except when adding additional lateral restraint on top of the carried member.
