Eurotec Adjustable Decking Feet – The fast and accurate way to fit Decking.

The Eurotec Feet can be used with Aluminium or wooden frames for a very fast and effecient way of laying a timber or composite Deck. Placed on a concrete or compacted base they can be used to accurately align and level the sub structure of the Decking.

Made of a glass fibre reinforced polyamide they are extremely strong and can take loads up to 3200 kgs per square metre depending on the size of foot.

How to install a deck with pedestals
  1. Prepare the area: Clear the ground of any obstacles. On soil, lay a weed-suppressing geotextile membrane. Ensure the surface is as flat as possible, but don't worry about minor undulations as the pedestals will compensate for them.
  2. Plan your layout: Determine the height of your deck and the spacing for your pedestals based on your joist material and board thickness. Manufacturers typically provide guidelines, but a common interval is every 500mm along each joist. Plan for a slight incline of around 1% to help with water runoff.
  3. Position the pedestals: Arrange the pedestals on the ground in a grid pattern. Place them to support the ends and any butt joints of your joists.
  4. Lay the joists: Place your joists (which can be timber, composite, or aluminium) onto the headpieces of the pedestals. The joists should run perpendicular to the direction you plan to lay your decking boards.
  5. Level the frame: Using a long spirit level, adjust the height of each pedestal by twisting its mechanism. Ensure the entire frame is level and stable before securing the joists to the pedestal heads with screws.
  6. Install the decking: Fasten your decking boards to the joist frame according to the manufacturer's instructions. Depending on the type of boards, this may involve screws or hidden clips.
