Self Drilling External Heavy Countersunk Screws for Thicker Steel
The Wingtek Heavy Section Self-Drilling Screws are available in phillips or torx drive a countersunk head with a wing between the cutting head and thread. The screw point drills into the steel, the wings break off as they hit the steel and the threads then engage in the steel, firmly fastening the wood to the steel in one simple reliable application.
They are commonly used for timber to steel rails and purlins.
